The Guitar Player Who Changed The World Of Music / Evolution Of Music

It cannot be said surely that at which year guitar was invented but Spain is considered the father of the guitar. The early guitar used to be small and had only four strings. In the 1930s in the USA when the first electric guitar came it changed the way of music. Here we will look at how the world of music changed from ancient times to modern times through guitar and guitar players.

First, we will look at the guitarists from the old times-.

1. Eddie Van Halen, Netherlands / USA

Eddie Van Halen was a Dutch-American musician, producer, and songwriter. When we talk about the great guitarist, it is not possible that we forget Eddie. Eddie was voted no.1 in a Guitar World magazine reader’s poll for “The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time”.

Eddie with his brother formed the band in 1972. His life changed, when Warner Bros Records offered Van Halen a recording contract, in 1977. In 1978 he showcased a solo technique called “Tapping” using both right hands-on guitar neck.

2. Jimmy Page

Jimmy Page is an English musician, record producer, and songwriter. Jimmy started playing guitar from the age of 12 but he got international success as a guitarist when he found the rock band Led Zeppelin in 1969. You can see his hard work in his albums. There are various albums invented by him. Some of them are- Outrider(1988), Led Zeppline (1969), Physical Graffiti(1975), Eric Clapton and Friends(2001), Rock and Roll Highway(2003) and many more.

There are various great legends of all the time but we cannot discuss here all of them otherwise our article will become long.

The guitarists who I have talked about are from the USA and England but if it comes to India, India is not less then these countries, either. Many guitar players in India are also very talented. Now let’s have a look at some of these-

1. Adil Rashid

Adil Rashid is the lead team member of Kolkata based band Underground Authority. He specializes in jazz, blues, rock funk, and metal. His team participated in India’s biggest reality show “India’s Got Talent(IGT), talent ki khoj (2019)”. Where they performed a song of A.R Rahman in their own way and got a huge fan following from there. After IGT the band became known for twisting Bollywood Retro songs and presenting them in their own style of music.

2. Ankit Upadhyay

Ankit Upadhyay is a Delhi based guitarist and vocalist. He is very passionate about music. He started vocal training back in 2009, from Pradeep Adwani Institute Of Performing Arts(PAIPA). The most unique thing about Ankit is that he is a quick learner, and he got appointed as the substitute guitar teacher, teaching to newbies, at PAIPA. He has been performing in many campus events where he entertained everyone with his energetic music.

3.Apernit Singh

This is the name of an extremely talented professional guitarist who has worked in Bollywood films, advertisements, documentaries, etc. Apernit has worked with most of the famous musicians and singers like Pritam, Soni Nigam, Shaan, Amit Trivedi, etc. Apernit has many videos on the internet through which you can see his talent.
