How to learn from your failures

How to learn from your failures

Thomas Alva Edison ‘’I have not failed. I’ve just found ten thousand ways that won’t work’’. That explains that it is not always sunshine in our life’s we have to face storms too. And by the storms we mean failures. Many successful personalities have said that they have failed many times before they got success. The failures we face don’t decide our fate but it is the lessons that we learn from them that determines what we become. If you try something but fail in it and you lose all your hope and just wait for the stars to do some miracle then you will never see the face of success in your life. But if you positively take the failure and try to figure out what went wrong and then learn from those mistakes then someday you will succeed for sure. Now comes the most common question that how can you learn from your failure?
The undermentioned are a few tips that will help you to learn from your failures.
  • Take risks: if you want to learn from failures you should take risks first. As it is said you cannot get anything if you don’t pay a price. Keep yourself open to new challenges, see where you go wrong and then the last step learn from it.

  • Be positive: even if you face failure in your life at a point where you were not expecting any of it just be positive. Believe that everything happens for a reason. Positively take failure and move forward.

  • Don’t stick to it for a long time: It’s normal to be disappointed when you face failure in your life but if you stick to the disappointment phase for a long time then you can never move forward towards success. Thus accept the fact that you failed this time and start working to recover from that failure. Only dedication can help you to recover from the failure you faced.

  • Learn from the experienced: Don’t be ashamed to seek help and guidance from the people that have experience in the field of your interest. You might get some major learning about failures from them.

  • The four-step rule: when you face a failure try and follow the four common steps which are, face it, accept it, learn from it and finally grow out of it.

  • Learn about your shortcomings: there must have been some valid reason because of which you failed. Figure out what was the reason for this failure and work with dedication and motivation to overcome that reason or to fulfill that shortcoming of yours.
Another thing that many people do not discuss but might help you in learning from your failure and to overcome it is listening to a motivational speaker. The motivational speakers will help you in staying positive and motivated. This positivity and motivation will help you to stay calm. By listening to them you will come to know that you are not alone who has faced a failure there are many more.
